Schwinn World Sport Rebuilt 6-Speed - 63cm

This bike has been built up with a nice mix of old and new. Built around a lugged World Sport frame, this bike sports brand a brand new braking group with Tektro aero brake levers and mid-reach dual-pivot Tektro brakes. Has a single chainring up front and a 6-speed freewheel with a rear derailer. Wheelset is a very nice racing set built with Rigida racing rims. With Panaracer Pasela Tourguard tires, this bike has very good flat protection. All around, this bike is perfect for swift road rides and fast commutes. Has eyelets for racks and ample clearance for full fenders. This bike is ideal for riders at least 6'0" tall.

Schwinn Rebuilt Fixed Gear - 58cm

This bike has been rebuilt around a very clean Schwinn World Sport frame made of lugged steel. Built up as a fixed gear with a flip/flop wheelset. Can be setup as a coast-able single speed by adding a single speed freewheel. Drop handlebars have been wrapped in cloth tape and treated with amber shellac, giving a lovely honey brown. Has eyelets to add racks or full fenders. This bike is ideal for riders 5'10" to 6'1", give or take.

Trek Rebuilt 7-Speed Porteur - 46cm

The base of this bike is a Trek 830 frame. This frame has a 46cm seat-tube (measured c-c), but has a long top-tube, making this a nice frame for swept-back handlebars. This has been completely rebuilt as a French-inspired Porteur, with a 7-speed drivetrain, a single chainring, porteur handlebars, and inverse brake levers. Cantilever brakes provide smooth, quick braking, and have new KoolStop salmon brake pads. This bike is ideal for shorter riders, 5'2"-5'6", give or take. Has double eyelets for fenders/racks.

Recent Builds.

With a very slow start to the warmer weather season, I've been building up bikes just as slowly. Some have gone out already, and more will built up. However, I'm attempting to minimize my operation and only have a couple frames to build up at a time. I do a lot of fixed gear and single speed builds, but have recently enjoyed building up 5 to 7 speed bicycles, with a single derailer in the rear. Here's some photos of some recent work.

Schwinn Mirada All-Weather Single Speed Commuter, 23"/58cm

The base of this build is a Schwinn Mirada frame, which accepts 26" wheels. This bike has been completely rebuilt as an all-weather single speed commuter, complete with full fenders and front and rear racks. Built up with inspiration from early Bridgestone mountain bikes, which featured rising stems and drop bars. This lovely salmon pink frame is comfortable and strong, featuring oversized 4130 cro-moly tubes, known for its strength and lightness. Rear wheel has been completely rebuilt around a flip/flop hub, both sides of which take single speed freewheels, which gives the option of two different gear ratios. Ready for winter right now with knobby tires, but can easily switch back to slick 26x1.5" tires, which are comfortable for more favorable weather conditions. Setup with a ratio of 48/17, and has deep horizontal dropouts. This bike can fit a wide range of riders, as it can be ridden with a high top-tube touring style with the seat lowered, or as a nimble low top-tube for more aggressive riding. Ideal for riders 5'10" to 6'3".
