Schwinn Mirada All-Weather Single Speed Commuter, 23"/58cm
The base of this build is a Schwinn Mirada frame, which accepts 26" wheels. This bike has been completely rebuilt as an all-weather single speed commuter, complete with full fenders and front and rear racks. Built up with inspiration from early Bridgestone mountain bikes, which featured rising stems and drop bars. This lovely salmon pink frame is comfortable and strong, featuring oversized 4130 cro-moly tubes, known for its strength and lightness. Rear wheel has been completely rebuilt around a flip/flop hub, both sides of which take single speed freewheels, which gives the option of two different gear ratios. Ready for winter right now with knobby tires, but can easily switch back to slick 26x1.5" tires, which are comfortable for more favorable weather conditions. Setup with a ratio of 48/17, and has deep horizontal dropouts. This bike can fit a wide range of riders, as it can be ridden with a high top-tube touring style with the seat lowered, or as a nimble low top-tube for more aggressive riding. Ideal for riders 5'10" to 6'3".
